The biggest difference is that the iOS apps do not include simulations. Only the Online Test Bank has those. The second-biggest difference is that the Online Test Bank has many, many reporting, customization, syncing and other features not in the app. The app is really just a super-mobile version of the MCQ content from the Online Test Bank (CPATestBank.com). The MCQ questions on the app are the same as the ones online.
The Test Bank CR-ROM contains software that allows you to run our Test Bank software without a connection to the internet. This “offline player” can be synced to the Online Test Bank so that question sets and reports stay in sync. The CD-ROM contains fewer MCQ and Simulations “out of the box” than the Online Test Bank. However once the CD-ROM software is installed, you can download all Online Test Bank MCQ or Simulations to your machine for use offline. The Online Test Bank is a subscription-access product, and you are entitled to 1-year of free access with your CD-ROM purchase and can extend access as needed. Once the subscription expires, you can still use the CD-ROM software and questions you have downloaded. However, any corrections or updates to the Online Test Bank content will no longer sync to your computer and you will not be able to upload practice session results to the online report-viewing tools.
The system requirements are as follows: 512 MB RAM minimum — 2 GB recommended, PIV compatible or higher processor — 2.4GHz recommended, Windows XP /Vista 32-bit and 64 bit /Windows 7 Home Premium Edition 32-bit and 64-bit/Mac OS 10.5, 100 MB disk space for application files (20 MB disk space for each individual module), Java Run Time Environment(1.6 or above), JRE 1.6 is included on the CD. To install this application, you need to have administrative rights — special permissions that allow you to load up new programs on your computer.
Practice sessions allow you to customize a study session to meet your study criteria for any session. Selecting the Pop Quiz button allows you to take a short, ten question multiple choice exam. The Take a Test functionality simulates an actual exam.
Registering the Wiley CPA Exam Review Online Test Bank (CPATestBank.com) indicates that the user accepts the terms in the license agreement. There are no refunds on any digital product after a user has accepted to the terms and has activated their subscription. Refunds can only be granted for unactivated subscriptions.
